Job Title: Senior Clinical Business Manager – Nordics
Project/Team/Department: Patient Solutions (PS)
Job Context: Reports to Nordics CM with dotted line to Head of PS Europe
Direct Reports: Senior Nurse managers/Business Managers/Field-based employees/Nurse advisors/HCAs/Contact centre employees (depending upon project)
Location: The jobholder will be field based preferably in Sweden with requirements to attend the Nordics head office, client offices and other Nordic meeting venues on occasions and will be expected to adopt the Company Remote Working Policy

Job Purpose/Overview:

To lead a clinical team working seamlessly with clients to deliver a fully integrated clinical solution and operational excellence. Driving, developing and implementing the company and PS strategy across the Nordics in line with the European strategy

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a clinical team in multiple projects
  • Contribute and implement PS and company strategy
  • Identify ways to expand the business, through both existing and new business opportunities
  • Contribute to RFI/RFP submissions with support of all relevant departments
  • Assess and mitigate risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations
  • Ensure delivery of all revenue and profit targets for all assigned accounts
  • Demonstrate a high standard of communication, teamwork, leadership and analytical skills
  • Identify team training and development needs and act as an ambassador for the Engage Nordics talent management strategy and succession plans

Partnership

  • To work closely with established client accounts at a strategic level and to have input into how clients shape their resources to meet current and future needs
  • To develop business within established accounts by engendering a challenging and collaborative working relationship with clients that ensures the appropriate services, from across the Inizio Engage Nordics Divisions are introduced
  • To actively participate in the Global Patient Solutions Centre of Excellence

Operational Excellence

  • To lead and motivate teams to ensure effective delivery of contractual metrics and key performance indicators as agreed with individual clients
  • To support and facilitate the personal development and succession planning of the team
  • To ensure minimum standards set by Inizio Engage Nordics are met or exceeded
  • To effectively manage human resource issues, following the appropriate processes and ensure performance management measures are fully implemented across the team, including probationary reviews, mid-year reviews and performance appraisals
  • To actively and accurately manage the Redeployment process
  • To identifytraining and development needs and implement a talent management strategy/succession plan
  • To ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements across clinical programmes

Process Management and Leadership Responsibilities

  • To lead the overall Nordics Patient Solutions team
  • Lead with the CM Nordics and Head of Patient Solutions Europeand Local Operations Management to develop and implement PS strategy
  • Contribute to the company strategy
  • Additional project management to support Clinical Business Managers
  • To make full use of CRM and reporting systems to monitor project implementation against key performance indicators
  • To monitor performance of the team in conjunction with the client and Business Manager thus making suggestions towards corrective action as required
  • To take overall accountability for the accuracy of all operational and financial processes within assigned accounts
  • To ensure delivery of all revenue and profit targets for all assigned accounts
  • To proactively identify ways of improving the efficiency and profitability of Operations
  • To work with all internal departments to ensure smooth running of all internal processes
  • To ensure all business operations comply with company standards and the relevant codes governing each particular client account (e.g.LIF certified and to contribute to the monitoring of compliance with such codes across the business

Client Responsibilities

  • Project management of designated projects
  • To build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders within assigned client accounts and hold regular client review meetings
  • To work closely with appropriate Client Managers to fully understand client challenges and concerns as well as discovering and disseminating best practice
  • To provide high quality, informative monthly reports and KPI trackers which add value to the client
  • To work closely with the Business Development team to develop strategies, ideas and solutions to develop the account
  • Effectively implement client contracts and maintain an in depth understanding of the respective legal obligations of each contract

Business (Account) Development

  • Ongoing analysis of customer accounts and or product portfolios that can inform the business development opportunities within your own accounts
  • To achieve stated customer activity objectives as directed by the Nordics CM , including but not limited to, face to face meetings, social business meetings and non-face to face contact as appropriate
  • To support and participate in Nordics BD pitches as required
  • To develop strong relationships with customers that are characterised by:
  • Frequent contact with key individuals within that account
  • An open dialogue which allows customers to proactively address any emerging issues
  • Inizio Engage Nordics becoming a leading supplier of Commercial and Clinical services.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Current Nursing qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Honours degree (or relevant professional qualification)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical and/or clinical management, ideally for a minimum of four years
  • Sales or commercial nursing background
  • Service industry background.
  • Fluency in English and either Swedish (preferably) or Danish
  • The job holder should be able to demonstrate their ability to operate effectively at a senior level and show strong commercial awareness whilst liaising effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong Financial Acumen with ability to effectively provide financial management of projects and department

Location: The jobholder will be field based working from home
Work time: 50% (from 10 am – 2 pm)

Job Purpose/Overview:

  • To provide a variety of patients with support including, respond to technical support requests from patients, carers and families
  • To provide such other services as required from time to time.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

  • To provide and deliver high quality response and service as set out in the specified programme virtually.
  • To provide patient education and support to all patients, families and their relatives referred to the service as required.
  • To provide solutions and support to patients, families and their relatives through the support line.
  • To be pro-active and able to work under own initiative.
  • To be able to identify when a situation is required to be escalated
  • Maintain all equipment and materials that are provided as part of the service in accordance with company policies and manufacturing guidelines.
  • Undertake other tasks and roles within the programme which may be required by the nurse manager or company to ensure a safe patient, applicable to individual competence or development.
  • Attend team meetings and conferences as required to keep up to date with plans, activities and developments and to exchange knowledge and experience within the team.

Client Focus

  • To communicate with and develop relationships with program team
  • To deliver on the Key performance indicators to include:
  • Programme KPI’s
  • To manage and report any adverse events, clinical incidents and refer as per policy.
  • To complete all specified documentation as per programme and good documentation requirements.
  • Complete all necessary administration in a timely and accurate manner as per KPI’s particularly in relation to activity reporting, information feedback Quality and Compliance
  • Undertake Client and Inizio Engage training to include:
  • Programme specific training
  • Adverse event and product technical complaint reporting
  • All service documentation (controlled documentation)
  • Continuing professional development
  • All Inizio Engage Clinical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Operating Procedures (SeOPs) and other applicable documentation
  • Be familiar with Company policies and health and safety legislation
  • Maintain own professional registration and up to date knowledge and research.
  • To fully document all patient interactions in accordance with company/client policies
  • Comply with the Adverse Event policies and Incident reporting of Inizio Engage (and the client company, where applicable) in respect of all matters relating to pharmacovigilance, incidents including training requirements and reporting systems.

  • Nurse or Nurse Assistant degree is required
  • Previous experience from remote patient support is desirable
